Vision CUT is a solution developed for the automatic roll-feed or sheet-feed cutting processing, when this involves cutting a shape from distorted media such as printed fabrics.
Sportswear and printed textiles
Custom made sportsware is a booming business, with volumes growing every year. Despite the large volume, production is actually made-to-measure and atomized into small lots. The optimal production method in terms of cost and productivity is to custom-print the roll fabric and to cut the parts using VisionCUT after printing. VisionCUT will perfectly compensate the distortion of the elastic fabrics used for this type of products.
Repetitive motifs for garments
Fabrics with floral or other repetitive motifs are now handled perfectly by the optical recognition algorithm of Vision CUT, making possible to create a fully automated cutting system with high output volume and perfect matching. Even the smallest repetitive details like a small logo faded on the background will be identified.
Advertising and packaging
Cutting a large feather flag on contour has never been easier. Using the total surface scan, Vision CUT will extract the contour of shapes and generate a cut file on-the-fly, without need a pre-existing vector file. For precision cutting of small items, Vision CUT can use matching points in a similar way to a classical headmounted camera, but without any limitation in increasing number of points that would slow-down the cutting process when using the old technology.
Stripes and plaids for furniture and garments
There are at least two significant advantages when cutting stripes and plaids with Vision CUT: speed of process and capability to compensate bow & skew distortion by reshaping the cut parts to match perfectly the lines on the fabric. This is particularly useful when cutting large parts, for furniture or automotive upholstery or classical man suits.
All key system components such as scanning, element identification, displacement and deformation rules and restrictions, contour extruding and interpolation, nesting algorithms, cutting optimization, are developed.
Vision CUT scans the entire surface of the material, thanks to which it is possible to identify the entire geometry and deformation of the printed elements. Also is extended with new possibilities such as contour recognition “on the fly” or distortion compensation such as tilting and bending.
Better and faster results using processors with multicore platforms. Vision CUT uses a parallel-algorithm technology for nesting and detection.
Vision CUT has been designed with compatibility in mind. The system contains both hardware and software components that were made totally machine independent, ready to be installed on any single-ply conveyor cutter with minimal requirements and effort.

The Registration Marks module is similar to the On the Fly working mode, but offers more options for various practical situations. The advantage of the Registration Marks module over the On the Fly module is the fact that there is no limitation for the shapes that are to be cut. It also allows to cut inside the main pattern. This working mode requires a predefined marker. On the Fly is a solution for cutting already randomly printed simple shapes. The detection is carried out at first sight, and doesn’t require a predefined marker. The system cuts only the external parts’ cut line.
The user can work with dxf file in 2 different ways as a model, then the patterns will be imported into the stock area and also as a marker, then the patterns will be imported into the stock area, and nested as well, the nesting position being memorized.
Any type of fabric that the cutter is allowed to work with can be used, as well as cutting a wide range of materials such as plastic, metal, wood, etc.
